(Create) Unwordly Sensation: Transparency & Reflections.

Having a personal interest on see-through phenomena in architecture, my interdisciplinary project (dissertation) explores how the behaviour of non-opaque elements could induce bewildering experiences to a standard reality. The project emphasizes the three appealing qualities of transparency and reflections: Unpredictability, Deceptive, and Liquidity.

The final outcome was a proposal of an installation to the existing Create Café door in University of Kent's Marlowe Building comprising of an interactive façade. The proposed facade is a series of mobile panels with various degree of transparency and reflectivity that can be moved by the people inside or outside thebuilding. As a series of unpredictable images would be depicted due the overlapping of different panels, the outcome strives to create an 'unworldly sensation' to people experiencing it in the surrounding.
